Traveling Museum Retrospective of Venezuelan Modernist Oswaldo Vigas

Painter’s Table  - via Huffington Post June 22, 2016 . Review of the traveling museum exhibition viewed at MAC ( Museu de Arte Contemporanea da Universidade de Sao Paulo) in Brazil. Vigas lived in Paris for twelve years  in the 1950s – in the heady mix with Picasso, Leger, Ernst Matta and Lam. He then returned to Venzuela integrating Pre- Columbian references into international modernism. This retrospective covers 70 years work by the late Vigas who died at 90 years old in 2014.
